Statens Museum for Kunst - Revolution embodied
The exhibition displays a large selection of Nicolai Abildgaard's works - from around 1800. Abildgaard was among the young artists who did a showdown against the prevailing style of their time - classicism, and he is today considered to be one of the most remarkable and contradictory figures in Danish art. The exhibition is arranged in collaboration with The Louvre in Paris and The Hamburger Kunsthalle, where it also has been exhibited. Read about the exhibition »

Louisiana - The World Is Yours

The Chinese artists are concerned with both personal issues and the Chinese culture - but they are also inspired by the international community and of other countries' art and visual culture. Arken shows a wide range of Chinese contemporary art, from figurative painting and photo-realism with expressive brushwork and graphic images from the universe of comics. Read about the exhibiton »
