Copenhagen - no. 2 in the Liveable Index
Copenhagen is among the 25 Most Liveable Cities 2010 nominated by the English magazine Monocle. Liveable Cities are defined as cities where human life can thrive, because they are easy to navigate, diverse, pulsing and full of opportunities.
Monocle highlights Copenhagen's beautiful architecture, functional design, climate awareness, bicycle culture, the citizens' sense of solidarity and general high level of safety as factors that place Copenhagen high in the top of the world's most liveable cities. An extra plus is the number of high quality restaurants, that phase two of the metro is about to go live, that the airport is a joy and that you can bike safely through the city. We have good reasons to be proud of Copenhagen.
When Monocle publish "The Most Liveable Cities index" it is spread to frontpages, newsletters, blogs etc. People around the world become aware of Copenhagen, and many may want to pay a visit. The figures look quite good already. The first half of 2010 has brought more visitors to the city, and the increase seems to continue.
