Dreaming of Indian Summer
The summer draws to an end and everything seems to be taking its usual course. The last few months have been marked by vacation, vacation mood and cheerful colleagues, who in turn, has waved goodbye leaving for vacation.

I think we are many, who wonder how to slip in a little extra vacation - a small swing by the Greek archipelago, or perhaps an Autumn vacation in London. Maybe it is not impossible, but on the other hand, there is much going on here right now, which is worth our time.

Last weekend, Copenhagen Furniture Festival spread out across most of Copenhagen, with free bus rides around to all the exhibitors. At Rud Rasmussen's in the middle of the Nørrebro you could get a tour and follow the production from the raw wood to the finished furniture - really interesting to see more than 100 years old wood processed into beautiful furniture classics.

September 20th the art festival U-turn will open and for the first time the large area by Carlsberg will be accessible for a wider audience. A cultural park, the Academy building and the old brewery plant is hidden inside the area.

In general, Copenhagen is overflowing with exciting art exhibitions currently. We are certainly many, who would like to visit both the National Gallery of Art to see "Reality Check" and Louisiana to see Japanese Manga and the large-scale Per Kirkeby show.

The swimming season is unfortunately ending, unless one is a winter swimmer. As recently as last weekend, one could take a refreshing sea bath here in the middle of Copenhagen - and the water was not even cold. The Harbour basin on Islands Brygge is always a good bid, when you need a dip. When the weather becomes too cold, you can enjoy yourselves with a spa visit - sit in the Jacuzzi and think a little about life.

NB: Although we do not even want to think of Autumn right now, I would still mention Halloween in Tivoli, because it can make us enjoy Autumn. It is both pleasant and spooky, fun for children - and with plenty of good atmosphere.

BIKE HELMET FOR GUESTS AND STAFF
The bicycle is the most practical and most carbon neutral means of transport we have - especially here in Copenhagen. We have long offered bicycle rental in the receptions and now you can also get a helmet. Use it for safety's sake.

Many employees at Brøchner Hotels uses the bicycle both to work and around the hotels and they have also received a bike helmet – with the text: 'Because we use our heads'.

It is beneficiary for the climate that we uses the bicycle for transportation, but traffic is hectic in the morning and we want to make the trip a little safer. The bike helmet actually saves lives each year.
